Long story short: one of the best I’ve read (I am at chapter 15), and I’ve read manga for 30 years.

Short story long:

This is a love story between two adults. Male lead is a mature and sensible (but delightfully playful) man who is confident but not prideful. A full 💯 to this piece of emotional soul candy, he’s about as perfect as wholesome ML’s come. Even plot points that might feel a bit worn end up feeling fresh due to his way of handling them. Female lead has some insecurities that make her relatable, but she does not cross over to the annoying territory, and while she can be bashful in her crush, she doesn’t become a silly shy teenager when things go her way. The adult scenes are tastefully explicit; no fade to black here, but don’t go in looking for extremely graphic content. This story just feels good to read. Highly recommended.

Based on 60 chapters. This is a story exploring different kinds of love and sexual needs. Some characters are straight, some are gay, some are bi. Polyamory is explored as well. It is well written, but if you are looking for a traditional love story or something sexy, you ought to look elsewhere. If you however want to read something thought-provoking and bittersweet about people trying to find happiness when their wants and needs clash, you might enjoy this.

Character setting was great in the beginning and I had high expectations. Unfortunately I was definitely rooting for the other guy that seemed to have a lot more “fated” compatibility with the FL and generally speaking was a lot more interesting character. If you want to read a relative drama-free love triangle (seems like an oxymoron, but you’ll get it if you read this) involving two best friends, this is probably up your alley. It left me wanting.
